Our Mission:
  • To sustain a Christian presence at the heart of palliative care.
Our Vision:
  • To promote and sustain the Christian foundation on which hospice care is based by encouraging Christians and others who work in palliative care services, hospices and hospice at home teams as staff or volunteers; we will offer support by providing spiritual sustenance and professional education for those who are living out "hospice" on the front line.
Our Values:
At hospice23 we will:
  • Welcome people of all faiths or none to join with us at away days, workshops or conferences.
  • Offer the acceptance, love and light of Christ to those seeking help.
  • Through prayer, networking and friendship support and encourage multidisciplinary teams, volunteers and supporters involved in the care of people with life limiting or life threatening illness.
  • Extend the hospice tradition of hospitality to those developing palliative care services in other parts of the world.
Our Commitment:
  • To organise courses, workshops and conferences with professional relevance that are eligible for academic accreditation.
  • To facilitate "Away Days" and opportunities for ecumenical sharing of faith between those working in interdisciplinary teams in hospice or palliative care units, home visiting and bereavement work.
  • To arrange study programmes for those visiting the UK, and to foster links between countries and individuals.
